Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height consisting of a gray globe grid lined gold with a blue wavy bar across center, and issuant upwards therefrom a white eagle's head with gold eye and orange beak in front of five gold lightning bolts radiating upward, all enclosed by a blue scroll inscribed "SENTINELS OF THE PACIFIC" in gold letters below.

Symbolism
Oriental blue and silver gray are colors associated with Military Intelligence. The globe is symbolic of the worldwide mission of the unit and the blue wave denotes the Pacific with the eagle's head rising from it signifying Kunia and the Hawaiian Islands, as that part of our nation which rises from out of the Pacific. The lightning bolts denote the communications nature of the unit's mission. The motto "Sentinels of the Pacific" refers to the unit as the forward guard.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the U.S. Army Field Station, Kunia on 9 Oct 1986. It was redesignated for the 703d Military Intelligence Brigade on 1 Jan 1988.
